Domain Sales Report – September 3, 2026 | Auction Results

Thursday, September 3, 2026 was a day for end users in the domain aftermarket, with 490 completed sales tracked across GoDaddy, Namecheap, DropCatch, Dynadot, Catched and both closeout tiers. The day's biggest sale, nutrifit.com at $12,250 on GoDaddy Auctions, is a natural fitness-brand name — the kind of sale that signals an operating business bought it, not a speculator.

GoDaddy's table leaned heavily into small-business keyword names: restaurants, breweries, bakeries, spas, clinics and contractors, with mtavari.tv ($10,001) and safehealthcareforeverywoman.org ($6,900) adding premium non-.com sales at the top. Namecheap's expired auctions were the tech hub of the day: monitter.com ($6,525) led, and a deep cluster of .ai sales — soko.ai ($2,900), quantumagents.ai ($1,900), idex.ai ($1,875), codeable.ai ($1,680) and marketagent.ai ($1,605) — showed AI-keyword appetite spreading well beyond headline names.

Dynadot continued its run as the venue for Chinese investor demand: tdzyz.com ($3,422) and kxyl.cc ($3,000) topped a table packed with pinyin and short-letter .coms, while dev.team ($2,785) was one of the strongest new-gTLD results of the week. Catched's ccTLD tier was led by the French newsactual.fr at $4,101.

Top 5 Domain Sales — September 3, 2026

Domain Market Analysis: September 3, 2026

End-user demand led the day. The top of GoDaddy's 100-name table reads like a small-business directory — nutrifit.com, johnnylongboats.com, downtownbrewfestival.com, localhoneybk.com, utahoutliers.com — exact-match keyword names that businesses buy to use. When the day's biggest sales are brand-ready phrases rather than liquid investor names, end-user money is driving the market.

Alternative TLDs took two of the top three spots. mtavari.tv at $10,001 and safehealthcareforeverywoman.org at $6,900 show that non-.com extensions still command five figures when the name is right — a media brand and a nonprofit-style keyword, two segments where .tv and .org have always outperformed.

.ai is in broad mid-market demand. Eight .ai sales on Namecheap alone — soko.ai ($2,900), quantumagents.ai ($1,900), idex.ai ($1,875), codeable.ai ($1,680), marketagent.ai ($1,605), grips.ai ($1,568), sunwin.ai ($1,336), eola.ai ($1,080) — confirm .ai as the busiest non-.com extension in the expired auctions, with "agents" and AI-tool keywords the clear theme.

Chinese investor demand held steady on Dynadot. tdzyz.com ($3,422), kxyl.cc ($3,000) and dozens of pinyin/short-letter .coms in the $900–$1,100 range point to systematic buying, while dev.team ($2,785) shows new gTLDs still pulling four figures when the keyword is premium.

Bargain tiers stayed active. Catched's ccTLD table (led by newsactual.fr at $4,101) and the fixed-price closeouts at GoDaddy ($50) and Dynadot ($30) moved another 90 names — the long tail of the expired-domain market doing what it always does.

Frequently Asked Questions

What was the most expensive domain sold on September 3, 2026?
nutrifit.com, which sold for $12,250 on GoDaddy Auctions. The second-biggest sale was mtavari.tv at $10,001, also on GoDaddy.

Which marketplaces are included in this report?
GoDaddy Auctions, DropCatch, Namecheap expired auctions, Dynadot auctions, Catched (ccTLD auctions), plus fixed-price closeouts from GoDaddy and Dynadot — 490 completed sales in total.

Why did nutrifit.com sell for $12,250?
Nutrifit is a clean, brandable two-word name in the fitness and nutrition space — an industry where domain names directly carry customer acquisition. Names that look like operating businesses attract end-user bidders, who pay more than investors because they value the name as an asset of a company, not a resale item.

Why are .ai domains selling so well?
Short, product-ready .ai names map directly onto the AI startup boom — soko.ai ($2,900) and quantumagents.ai ($1,900) are names an AI company would actually brand itself with, which pulls end-user money into the auctions. The "agents" theme (marketagent.ai, launchagent.ai) reflects where AI product building is concentrated right now.
